1-1/2" Double-Thick Natural Bristle Chip Brush – 5/8" Thick

The Double-Thick Natural Bristle Chip Brush – 5/8" Thick is designed for applications where greater material capacity and coverage are needed compared with a standard single-thick chip brush. Its 5/8" thick natural bristle head holds more resin, coating, or adhesive, making it especially useful for larger areas and jobs requiring heavier material application.

These brushes are an excellent choice for fiberglass and composite applications, including wetting out fiberglass cloth and mat, applying epoxy resin, polyester resin, vinyl ester resin, gelcoat, and bonding adhesives. The fuller double-thick bristle construction allows the brush to carry more material between dips, helping make larger laminating and coating jobs more efficient.

The natural bristles provide good material pickup and spreading characteristics, while the sturdy metal ferrule helps secure the bristles to the unfinished wooden handle. The lightweight handle provides comfortable control when brushing resin into fiberglass, corners, contours, seams, and other areas.

Because chip brushes are economical, they're particularly convenient for working with epoxies, catalyzed resins, adhesives, and other materials that can be difficult to clean from reusable brushes. Use them for fiberglass fabrication and repair, boat building, automotive and composite work, woodworking, painting, maintenance, and general shop projects.
