These short reinforcing fibers are commonly blended with epoxy, polyester, or vinyl ester resins to create high-strength adhesives, structural fillets, bonding compounds, and repair mixtures.

At just 1/32 inch in length, these fibers disperse easily throughout the resin, providing excellent reinforcement while producing a smoother, easier-to-apply mixture than longer fiberglass fibers. They are often combined with fillers such as colloidal silica, glass microspheres, or other additives to achieve the ideal balance of strength, viscosity, and sanding characteristics for specific applications.
