Cabosil Gallon

Cabosil® Fumed Silica is a premium rheology modifier designed to thicken and reinforce composite resins without significantly adding weight. Commonly used in the marine, automotive, aerospace, and composite industries, Cabosil transforms liquid resins into smooth, non-sagging mixtures that are easier to apply on vertical and overhead surfaces.

Compatible with polyester resin, epoxy resin, vinyl ester resin, gelcoat, adhesives, and fairing compounds, Cabosil allows you to customize resin viscosity for a wide variety of applications. It is commonly used for structural bonding, gap filling, filleting, laminating, and creating high-strength adhesive mixtures. By adjusting the amount added, you can achieve anything from a slightly thickened resin to a heavy, peanut butter-like consistency.

Cabosil is chemically inert, moisture resistant, and does not affect the curing characteristics of properly catalyzed or mixed resin systems. It disperses easily with thorough mixing and is often combined with fiberglass fibers or milled fibers to create exceptionally strong structural repair compounds.

Note: Cabosil is an extremely fine, lightweight powder that becomes airborne easily. Wear appropriate respiratory and eye protection during handling and add the powder slowly while mixing to minimize dust.
