Coosa Nautical 15 Series Composite Board
Coosa Nautical 15 Series is an economical, ultra-lightweight fiberglass-reinforced polyurethane composite panel engineered for marine core and low-stress structural applications. With a density of approximately 15 pounds per cubic foot, Nautical 15 is over 60% lighter than traditional plywood, making it an excellent choice when reducing weight is a priority without sacrificing durability.
Unlike plywood, Coosa Nautical 15 will not rot, absorb water, or deteriorate from prolonged moisture exposure, making it ideal for harsh marine environments. Its closed-cell composite construction provides excellent dimensional stability while resisting mold, mildew, and common environmental damage that can shorten the lifespan of wood-based materials.
The panel can be cut, drilled, routed, and shaped using standard woodworking tools and bonds exceptionally well with polyester, vinyl ester, and epoxy resins. Its smooth, consistent structure makes installation easy for both professional boat builders and DIY marine repair projects.
