Dura-Block® Sanding Blocks are professional sanding tools engineered to help produce straight, smooth, and consistent surfaces during bodywork, fiberglass repair, fairing, priming, and finishing. Their closed-cell EVA rubber construction provides a combination of firmness and controlled flexibility, allowing the block to follow the shape of a workpiece without simply transferring every imperfection into the finished surface.

One of the biggest advantages of Dura-Block is its ability to distribute sanding pressure across a larger area than sanding by hand alone. This helps knock down high spots and level fillers and primers while reducing the chance of finger marks, waves, dents, and uneven sanding. The standard 11-inch AF4400, for example, is specifically designed to follow both contours and flat surfaces.

Dura-Blocks can be used for wet or dry sanding, making them well suited for multiple stages of surface preparation. Depending on the specific block, they can be paired with PSA adhesive-backed abrasive paper, conventional sanding sheets, or hook-and-loop abrasives.
