Red Oxide Grinding Disc with 7/8" center hole is a durable aluminum oxide abrasive designed for fast, aggressive material removal. Ideal for fiberglass grinding, glass grinding, weld grinding, surface preparation, and stock removal. Available in multiple sizes and grits for everything from heavy grinding to finer surface preparation.
The Red Oxide Grinding Disc with 7/8" Center Hole is a dependable abrasive disc designed for demanding grinding, sanding, and material-removal applications. Manufactured with red/brown aluminum oxide abrasive, these discs provide an aggressive cutting action that makes them particularly well suited for fiberglass fabrication and repair, metalworking, marine applications, and general shop use.
These grinding discs are an excellent choice when substantial material needs to be removed quickly. Common applications include grinding fiberglass laminates, leveling fiberglass repairs, removing excess resin, shaping composite materials, glass grinding, weld grinding, and general stock removal.
The 7/8" center hole allows the disc to be mounted to compatible grinders and backing pads. The abrasive disc should be properly supported by an appropriate backing pad and used with equipment suitable for the disc diameter and application.
Different grit options allow you to select the cutting action required for the job. Coarser grits provide faster and more aggressive material removal, while finer grits provide greater control when leveling and preparing a surface for subsequent finishing operations.
For fiberglass shops and boat repair facilities, these discs are especially useful for grinding cured fiberglass and resin, feathering repair areas, preparing laminates for secondary bonding, and removing high spots before fairing or finishing.
