        WEST SYSTEM® 407 Low-Density Filler is a premium lightweight blending additive formulated to produce an easy-to-work, easy-to-sand fairing compound when combined with WEST SYSTEM epoxy resin and hardener. Designed for applications where sanding and shaping are more important than maximum structural strength, 407 creates a smooth, creamy mixture that spreads easily and feathers into surrounding surfaces with minimal effort.

        Its unique reddish-brown color complements many wood species, making it a popular choice for wooden boat restoration, marine repairs, furniture construction, and general woodworking. The lightweight formula minimizes added weight while allowing users to build fairing compounds that can fill low spots, smooth fiberglass repairs, and create seamless transitions between surfaces before painting or finishing.

        WEST SYSTEM 407 is ideal for fairing hulls, repairing dents and imperfections, blending fiberglass repairs, shaping fillets where structural strength is not the primary concern, and preparing surfaces for primer and paint. Once cured, the material sands quickly with less clogging than higher-density fillers, reducing labor and improving finishing results.
